Russian media is reporting that Crimeans voted overwhelmingly to break with Ukraine by 90%+ and join Russia on Sunday with a voter turnout of about 54%. Of course the ballot did not really allow a separatist vote and Kiev has accused Moscow of pouring forces into the peninsula to make it very difficult for anyone to stand up and say no.
It is what it is. What happens now is interesting. The defense ministries of both Ukraine and Russia have now agreed on a truce in Crimea until March 21st. No measures will be taken against Ukrainian military facilities in Crimea before that time.
