The Leviathan Shows Its Teeth

Spread the love

Britain is adopting US tax law by default – worldwide income. The US position to tax citizens on worldwide income even when they do not live here was NEVER enacted by the people in a democratic manner, but rather it was purely a creation of American judges. I explained that the US banks starting in 2014 will report to the UK any assets held in the USA by British citizens. The fiscal mismanagement of all government and the collapse of Marxism/Socialism because these people have never had a long-term plan for how to run government, is destroying everything about our once proud LIBERTY and free society. I have warned that the EU may adopt US taxation whereby they own your ass even if you do not live there. Meanwhile, the United States is intimidating every country to report on whatever Americans are doing anywhere. Switzerland has now caved in to US demands.

Welcome to the new Economic Iron Curtain. We are rapidly approaching the end of everything Western Civilization was about – freedom from tyranny. Britain is adopting American Worldwide Taxation again without presenting it to the people. So much for pretended democracy.

leviathanThe Leviathan  was a book written by Thomas Hobbes (1588–1679) and published in 1651 deriving its name from the biblical account of the Leviathan. This important work concerned the very structure of society and government. This was demonstrating the rising opinion that saw Monarchy as evil. The Leviathan is politically important and was as influential as Machiavelli’s The Prince. It was written during the English Civil War (1642–1651) when Charles I (b 1600; 1625 – January 30, 1649) was beheaded by Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658), the religious right Puritan. The Leviathan argued the basis of a social contract and rule by an absolute sovereign that was rooted within the Divine Right of Kings. Hobbes was pro-monarchy government and his position was that civil war could only be averted by strong central government. To many, it has been regarded as one of the earliest and most influential examples of social contract theory. However, we have reached such a cross roads once again. Unfortunately, this idea that government has the best interest of the people always at heart, the “social contract”, is being exposed that in truth the emperor has no clothes. Thomas Jefferson disagreed and saw monarchy as the source of tyranny setting that out in the Declaration of Independence. Consequently, government only remains motivated by its own self-interest and like any animal when cornered, it will attack to maintain its continued survival. This is simply human nature. It is neither evil nor benign. It is what it is. Understand that, move on, and restraint government for Adam Smith said it best:

“It is the highest impertinence of kings and ministers to pretend to watch over the economy of private people and to restrain their expense, either by sumptuary laws, or by prohibiting the importation of foreign luxuries. They are themselves always, and without exception, the greatest spend thrifts in the society. Let them look well after their own expense, and they may safely trust private people with theirs. If their own extravagance does not ruin the state, that of their subjects never will.”

Adam Smith Wealth of Nations 1776, Book II, Chapter III,

Of the Accumulation of Capital, or of Productive and Unproductive Labour

The UK has changed it tax rules and now Britons who are to be always deemed a non-resident for tax purposes, can no longer visit Britain for more than 16 days a year. They have created rules that you still owe taxes in the UK if the UK is really your “center of life”. That is a wonderful ambiguous term. If I read the London Financial Times and trust that more than the New York Times or Wall Street Journal, does that make me subject to taxation in Britain? Perhaps that is next.

The bottom line, these people in government like a con-artist have promised all sort of things to get elected yet have never managed the affairs of state in any honest realistic fashion. Governments have grown to be about 40% of the global economy so today women MUST work creating two incomes just to survive to support a third person – the corresponding government employee. Socialism has seriously reduced the quality of living and altered the dynamics of human society. It has destroyed the integrity of the family and pretended to be the caring Leviathan that has only our best interest at heart.

The demise of Western Civilization is following the same precise timeline as the collapse of Rome in the same sequence. It is being created by the Sovereign Debt Crisis and even within my own lifetime, I will not be dead soon enough to escape this rising tyranny. Everything we have struggled for to escape the yoke of monarchy and tyranny has simply returned under socialism because they want to “feel” our pain and seem to hate our guts.

Governments of Europe and America are just viewing us as economic slaves. Like Rome, the internal decay of morals and ethics has hallowed-out government to where it is merely a colossal shell that has long forgotten our fight to be free and the struggle that mankind endured to achieve human and civil rights through Magna Carta in 1215, English Bill of Rights 1689, and the American Revolution 1776 against Monarchy.

Even the Puritans that fled to America established the Law and Liberties in 1648. What they complained about was vague laws and the discretion of government to be able to fit any situation into its self-interest at that moment in time. This is the very essence of the denial of DUE PROCESS OF LAW that we have forgotten once again. They wrote:

“For a Commonwealth without lawes is like a Ship without rigging and steeradge. Nor is it sufficient to have principles or fundamentalls, but these are to be drawn out into so many of their deductions as the time and conditions of that people may have use of. And it is very unsafe & injurious to the body of the people to put them to learn their duty and libertie from generall rules, nor is it enough to have lawes except they be also just. Therefore among other priviledges which the Lord bestowed upon his peculiar people, these he calls them specially to consider of, that God was neerer to them and their lawes were more righteous then other nations.”

The Leviathan now has teeth and they are hungry for our blood once again. The Constitution of the United States, once intended to secure Due Process of Law, has been reduced to ashes. This fiscal mismanagement is justifying the loss of all rights to maintain power. To even argue that because of terrorism someone is not entitled to Due Process of Law, can be tortured, indefinitely detained, and Americans can now be arbitrarily murdered by the President on American soil, violates every principle of civilization since the dawn of history.

(to those who say the US will never do that to Americans – then you do not ask for such power)

We have forgotten that the agreement not to torture even prisoners of war was to secure the safety and rights of even your own soldiers. If an American soldier is captured, he will be tortured, detained indefinitely, and arbitrarily killed without even a pretend military trial. What we do to others justifies what they do to us.

President Obama signed the order to close Guantanamo Bay on January 22, 2009 that he said Bush violated international law during the 2008 election. In April 2011, Wikileaks began publishing 779 secret files relating to prisoners in the Guantanamo Bay detention camp. As of September 2012, 167 detainees remain at Guantanamo. They have never received Due Process of Law, no trial, no right to be heard. They will die in prison for after one attempt at a public trial, the government failed to prove its case when this was supposed to be their very best case. Ahmed Ghailani was put on trial in New York City and on November 17, 2010, a jury found him guilty of only one count of conspiracy, but acquitted him of 284 other charges including all murder counts. Critics of the Obama administration said the verdict proves American people cannot be trusted to prosecute terrorists because it shows a jury might acquit such a defendant entirely. On Tuesday, January 25, 2011, U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan, the presiding judge in the case, sentenced Ahmed Ghailani to life in prison for the bombing on a single count of conspiracy despite the jury not finding him guilty of a single murder. The Obama Administration has not dared to put anyone else on trial after the government could not prove he was even there.

Due Process of Law was established in the Bible when God summoned Cain and asked where was his brother. God knew what happened, but he still gave him the right (1) to be summoned, (2) the right to be heard, and (3) only then could judgment be rendered. We have abandoned all of that.We have lost what it meant to be “civilized”.

Now they use the pretense of terrorism to track every dime, hunt down Americans living offshore, claiming the purpose is really to police terrorism. However, if we happen to find anyone with money, hey hand it over. For you see, the way LAW works, once you change someone to get terrorists, you changed it for everyone. So yes, indefinite detention of an American argued to be aiding terrorists cannot be distinguished on a power basis to do the same for any other action.
