regarding your recent blog post about dengue fever, a similar pattern is apparently seen also in the African trypanosomiasis or “sleeping sickness”. Looking to Wikipedia’s sources, several newer studies were published in recent years, some of them alarming of new outbreaks while another period of publications seems to be more than 50 years back. The picture [above] shows my great grandfather working in a campaign to prevent the disease in Angola in the first half of the 20th century. From the date of his studies (between the 40s and 60s) one can maybe infer the last peak in this epidemic cyclical activity
REPLY: Thank you for this info. The outbreaks also show that this seems to move with the same cyclical frequency. Pi has also been discovered in Quantum Mechanics, and even the precession of the equinox is 25,800 years (3 * 8.6). It is amazing how little research is devoted to cycles outside of physics.
