Senator Rand Paul, Republican of Kentucky, began a truly old-school filibuster, speak-until-you-drop on Wednesday just before noon. This truly a historic day when only ONE Senator will stand up for the Constitution. Remember prosecuting American soldiers for shooting civilians in Vietnam? It was called a massacre.
To think that nobody else in Washington will stand up for the REAL American people is a sad statement of where we stand today. Twenty years ago, and even under George Bush Jr, it is doubtful that anyone would have had the guts to stand up and ask for such power. How far have we fallen. Rather than reform and revise the world monetary system, they would rather plow anyone down who dares to object. This is how empire, nations, and city states die. Always by their own hand.
