The government statistics are played with so much, it is becoming as bad and the politicians of Rome bribing the priests to insert extra days in the calendar to avoid election. We can thank Julius Caesar (100-44BC) today because he had to cross the Rubicon to chase the corrupt politicians out of Rome. He then assumed the office of high priest throwing them out and fixed the calendar for when he crossed that river, what would have been summer was winter.
Our statistics are equally bad. They keep coming up with clever things to pretend what they are doing is not wrong. Unemployment is declining because the number of people not looking for work are rising. This will continue to rise (1) as taxes rise, and (2) local and municipal governments go bust.
