China has begun using mock US fighter jets for target practice as revealed by new satellite images taken by Plant Labs. The images show F-35 and F-22 modeled aircrafts damaged on a test runway. This comes on the heels of NATO warning China to cease aiding Russia as a “decisive enabler.”
The Chinese government fought back at the 32-nation bloc by saying their comments were an attempt to smear and provoke China. Lin Jian, the foreign ministry’s spokesman, called out the “tragedies of Afghanistan and Libya,” calling out the NATO alliance as the aggressor. “It is clear that whenever NATO shows up, turmoil and chaos follow.”
China has been carrying out numerous military drills with new alliances. Despite Joe Biden’s recent claim that Russia would one day invade Belarus, China and Belarus have begun conducting joint military exercises. The new union conducted an 11-day military exercise right outside of Poland’s border. The readiness to practice on the border of a NATO member state shows that no one is willing to disarm or back down. Maj. Gen. Vadim Denisenko of the Belarusian military called the geopolitical situation “complex” and warranted new methods of conducting warfare.
China and Russia are currently conducting a joint naval drill in the South China Sea. A spokesman for the Chinese Defense Ministry said the exercise named Joint-Sea-2024 will “resolve and capabilities of the two sides in jointly addressing maritime security threats.” China and Russia will also soon conduct joint air exercises as each nation strives to maintain their no barrier policy in a direct attempt to align against NATO.
China has not acted in a way to threaten NATO prior to the alliance, suggesting holding discussions of disarmament and throwing its full support behind Taiwan. Like Russia, China believes that NATO is the aggressor who is pushing them toward a global conflict. These military exercises are extremely expensive and are not taken likely. China is absolutely preparing itself for war.
