The goal of ETIAS is to increase security within the EU as they can no longer identify the enemy. America and others have compromised their borders and there are many with ill will amongst us. They claim the length of time that Americans will be able to spend in Europe as a tourist is not changing, but how will anyone be able to travel outside their respective country during an ongoing global conflict? So US passport holders are allowed to stay up to 90 days within a 180-day period, but for any stay longer than 90 days, a special visa is required.
If you travel outside of your respective country, depending on where you live, you’re on your own.
